wOMEN'S GUILD

Ladies, are you looking for fellowship, evenings of informative speakers and presentations, and meeting other women of the Parish? Come join the St. Catherine of Siena Women’s Guild!

Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. in the West Wing of the Parish Center on the first Tuesday of the month from September through May.

 Programs cover a variety of interests from a Family Game Night and an evening of  Community Outreach  along with other fun and interesting events! Come and experience for yourselves the fellowship and fun of being part of the Women’s Guild.  We’re always looking to meet new people and make new friends.  Guests are always welcome.

We are an association of women, aged 18 and over, who gather monthly to celebrate Spirituality, Fellowship, and do Good Works. 

The Women’s Guild sponsors the annual Holiday Craft Fair on the first Saturday in November from 9AM-4PM each year in the Parish Center.  

We feature approximately 60 vendors with hand made crafts for sale; a baked goods table; parish raffle; 50/50 raffle; Chinese auction basket raffle; kids' straw booth/toy raffle; as well as a seating area with full lunch menu. There's something for everyone!

All proceeds go to the Scholarship Fund and any special needs of St. Catherine of Siena parish.

The Bishop Leo E. O'Neil Scholarship is presented by the St. Catherine of Siena Women's Guild each year in the late spring. Usually two $1,000 scholarships are awarded at the Women's Guild May Banquet.

Applications are available from the Parish Office in February.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Parish

• graduating high school student, who is applying to a community college, 4-year college, trade school, or training program

or

• college student who has not yet received a degree, or who is applying for graduate programs

or

• adult learner furthering his/her education

Previous scholarship winners are not eligible. 

Applications are screened by the Pastor and then winners are chosen by the Women’s Guild Scholarship Committee, taking into consideration the following items:

• financial need
• school transcripts
• honors/awards
• school/family/community activities
• letters of recommendation
• personal statement
• active participation in St. Catherine of Siena parish
